Course Description

The Business Automation Course is designed for individuals who are interested in digitizing and automating their business operations. Automation is a skill that can be applied to any job that involves managing processes, consulting, designing, and deploying low-code solutions, and analyzing or coordinating a company’s digital teams.

Goal of the Business Automation Course

The course aims to provide students with an extensive background on how businesses can use cloud-based tools to automate their processes. In addition, students will learn how to automate various workflows that occur within an organization and how these tools will be useful in a professional setting. Students will work primarily with Microsoft Power Platform tools that assist them while completing their daily activities. They will also be exposed to the various ways that automating a business’s workings helps to increase productivity, decrease errors, and enhance communication and collaboration between employees within an organization.

Course Materials and Structure

The course focuses on the use of Microsoft Power Automate (cloud) for business process automation. Practical integration scenarios with Microsoft Teams, Planner, Excel, and SharePoint are covered.

The basic principles behind automating material processes:

  • Creating automated workflows using Power Automate;
  • Integrating automated workflows into Microsoft Teams so that employees can collaborate together easily;
  • Using Planner to manage and automate employee tasks;
  • Accessing, managing, and automating materials via SharePoint;
