Irina Bogdana Pugna is Professor at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems. Her academic and research work focuses on management information systems, business intelligence, business analytics, and the impact of digital transformation on organizations.
With extensive experience in higher education and research, she has contributed to the development of undergraduate, master’s, and MBA programs addressing the strategic role of information systems, data, and emerging technologies in contemporary organizations. She is
also involved in executive education, including the INDE MBA program developed in partnership with CNAM Paris.
Her research explores how organizations leverage data, analytics, and digital technologies to enhance decision-making, innovation, and organizational performance. She has published widely in international journals and conference proceedings and has participated in
interdisciplinary research projects examining the managerial implications of digital transformation and data-driven organizations.
Alongside her academic activity, she has also been involved in consulting and advisory initiatives related to the implementation and strategic use of information systems in organizations.
