Solomon G. Zori is a Associate Professor of Financial Reporting and Valuation at the Rotterdam
School of Management, Erasmus University in the Netherlands. His expertise lies at the intersection of financial reporting, corporate valuation, and enterprise information systems used in modern accounting and financial management.
He holds a PhD in Financial Accounting from the University of Cologne, an MSc in Accounting & Control from the University of Amsterdam, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Prior to his academic career, he worked in investment banking with Goldman Sachs in London and UBS in Amsterdam, focusing on corporate valuation, financial analysis, and capital market transactions. He later served as a finance specialist with SAP SE, where he supported global accounting teams in the implementation of IFRS standards, financial reporting processes, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems across multiple international subsidiaries.
At Rotterdam School of Management he teaches Financial Statement Analysis, Corporate Finance, and Business Analysis and Valuation at MBA and MSc levels. His research focuses on international accounting regulation, IFRS adoption, and the economic consequences of accounting reforms, particularly in emerging economies.
