Chinie Cătălina is a business process management specialist with a strong focus on how organizations design, analyze, improve, and automate the way work gets done. Much of her work revolves around practical questions such as How can processes be made more efficient and transparent?, How can data reveal how organizations truly operate?, and How can digital technologies meaningfully improve business performance?
Alongside her role as Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business Administration in Foreign Languages (FABIZ), within The Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), Cătălina is actively engaged in research at the intersection of business processes, digital enterprise systems and new business models. She has extensive experience in both academic research, applied projects and companies, with almost 20 years of experience within IT organizations.
Cătălina regularly integrates real-world cases, simulations, and hands-on exercises into her courses, helping students build competencies that are directly relevant to modern, process-driven organizations and encouraging them to move beyond intuition toward process-based, data-driven decision-making.
