Course Description

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of modern operations and supply chain management in the context of digital transformation and Industry 4.0. Students explore the strategic role of operations in creating competitive advantage through the optimization of supply chain drivers, including inventory, transportation, facilities, information, sourcing, and pricing.

The curriculum bridges traditional operations management concepts with cutting-edge technologies, examining the integration of Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and advanced analytics in contemporary business systems. Through real-world case studies, students analyse Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, service provider integration through blockchain technology, and AI implementation in smart manufacturing environments.

The course emphasizes practical application through team projects, guest speaker sessions with industry professionals, and interactive case study analysis. Students develop critical skills in designing, analysing, and improving integrated business operations while understanding the impact of emerging technologies on supply chain efficiency, responsiveness, and resilience.
