Vasile Gorgan is an Associate Professor at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems, Department of Management Information Systems. He has been a member of the academic staff since 2000.
His teaching and research activity focuses on management information systems, database systems, and programming languages. Over the years, he has developed extensive expertise in the design, development, and implementation of information systems that support organizational decision-making processes.
In addition to his academic career, Vasile Gorgan has significant practical experience gained through collaborations with private sector companies, particularly in projects related to ERP implementation and e-commerce applications. He has actively contributed to bridging the gap between theory and practice by applying academic knowledge to real-world business environments.
He was a member of the team that developed the university management information system used at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies for over 15 years, contributing to the digital transformation and efficient administration of academic processes.
He has also participated as a Business Analyst in the public-sector project “Transparency and Competence in the Public Sector” at the National Agency of Civil Servants (ANFP), where he was involved in analyzing business processes and supporting the implementation of information systems aimed at improving transparency and efficiency.
His professional interests include management information systems, enterprise systems, databases, software development, and the application of information technology in both private and public organizations.
